Frequently Asked Questions

We built APAX GEAR for people who take responsibility seriously. People who camp, travel, host, lead, protect, prepare, and go. The kind of people who would rather think ahead than get caught under-equipped.

So here are the answers to the questions we get most.


Orders

How do I know my order went through?
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email. When your gear ships, you’ll receive a second email with tracking details.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If your order has not entered processing yet, we may be able to help. Reach out to us as quickly as possible at support@apaxgr.com. Once an order is already being processed, packed, or handed off, changes are not guaranteed.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Contact us immediately at support@apaxgr.com. If the order has not moved too far down the line, we’ll do our best to update it. If incorrect details were entered at checkout and the package goes astray because of that, responsibility may fall on the customer.

Can APAX cancel my order?
In some cases, yes. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for lawful reasons, including pricing errors, product availability issues, suspected fraud, or misuse of the site.


Shipping

How long does shipping take?
Shipping times shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, customs, carrier delays, and peak-volume periods can affect delivery windows. We do our part to move fast, but once a shipment is in the carrier’s hands, some variables are outside our control.

Do you ship internationally?
If your country is available at checkout, yes. If it isn’t, we are not currently shipping there.

Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
For international orders, additional customs fees, import taxes, or duties may apply. Those charges are the customer’s responsibility.

When does responsibility for the package transfer?
Risk of loss passes when the order is handed to the carrier. That said, if something goes wrong in transit, we will still help where we reasonably can.

How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent to the email address used at checkout.


Returns & Refunds

What is your return window?
You have 30 days from the date your order is marked as delivered to request a return. After that window, we generally cannot offer a refund or exchange.

What condition does an item need to be in to qualify for a refund?
Returned items must be unused, in the same condition they were received, in the original packaging where applicable, and backed by proof of purchase such as an order number or confirmation email.

Are any items non-returnable?
Yes. Some items cannot be returned for safety, hygiene, or practical reasons. This includes items like used first aid kits, opened earbuds or in-ear audio products, gift cards or promotional items, and products showing clear signs of heavy use, abuse, or modification.

What if my item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?
Email us as soon as possible at support@apaxgr.com with your order number, clear photos of the item and packaging, and a brief description of the issue. If the problem is confirmed, we will work to replace the item or refund you.

How do I start a return?
Contact our support team first. Include your name, order number, the item you want to return, and the reason for the return. If approved, we’ll send you the proper return instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first. Unannounced returns may be delayed or rejected.

Who pays for return shipping?
If the return is due to our mistake, such as a defective item, damage on arrival, or the wrong product being sent, we’ll cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping. If the return is due to a change of mind or a customer-side selection issue, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

How long do refunds take?
Once the return is received and inspected, approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method. From there, it can take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.

What if my refund is late?
First check your account again, then contact your bank or credit card provider, since some delays happen on their end. If it still hasn’t appeared, reach out and we’ll help track it down.

Do you offer exchanges?
Usually, we handle color or model changes as a return plus a new order. If you received a defective or incorrect item, we will try to arrange a replacement where possible.

Are sale items refundable?
Regular-priced items are eligible under the refund policy. Some sale items or promotional purchases may be final sale, depending on the offer. Any exceptions should be clearly marked on the product page or at checkout.


Products

Are your product photos and descriptions exact?
We do our best to present every product as clearly and accurately as possible. That said, colors, dimensions, and certain details may vary slightly depending on screens, manufacturers, or production batches.

Can products go out of stock or be discontinued?
Yes. Some products may be limited, updated, or discontinued without prior notice.

What if there is a pricing or product description error?
If we discover a clear error in pricing, availability, or description, we reserve the right to correct it and, where necessary, cancel or refund the affected order.

Are APAX products just for emergencies?
No. We believe good gear should serve real life first. That means the road trip, the campsite, the backyard, the workday, the unexpected outage, and the moment things go sideways. Preparedness is not panic. It’s stewardship.


Payments

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.

What happens if my payment fails?
If a payment is declined, fails, or is later reversed, we may cancel the order or require an alternative payment method before processing future orders.


Promotions & Gift Cards

Do discount codes and promotions have limits?
Yes. Promotions, bundles, discount codes, gift cards, and store credit may have their own terms, including expiry dates, minimum purchase requirements, or per-customer limits. We also reserve the right to modify or cancel promotions in cases of misuse, fraud, or technical error.

How do gift refunds work?
If an order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, we may be able to issue store credit. If it was not marked as a gift, refunds generally go back to the original payment method used by the purchaser.


Account & Site Use

Do I need an account to order?
Not always, but creating one can make it easier to track orders and manage purchases.

Am I responsible for my account information?
Yes. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for notifying us if there is unauthorized use.

What kind of site behavior is not allowed?
Using the site for unlawful purposes, submitting false information, attempting unauthorized access, transmitting malicious code, infringing intellectual property, or abusing the platform is prohibited.


Reviews, Content, and Brand Material

Can I submit reviews or photos?
Yes. If you submit reviews, photos, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate the rights of others. APAX may use submitted content in connection with the business, including marketing.

Can I copy APAX branding, text, or images?
No. APAX branding, copy, visuals, design, and other site materials are protected and may not be copied or reused without prior written permission.
